The text is considered the first summary of Ibn al-Salah's famous Muqaddima Ibn Salah or Marifa Ulum al-Hadith as it is known as. to be the gateway for studying the upper-intermediate and advanced textbooks of Hadith sciences. It is also considered to be the key to understanding the methodology.
